These terms describe use of webcammic.com, operated under the name WebCam-Mic-Tester. Please review them before using the website. If you do not agree, do not use the tool.
What the tool provides
WebCam-Mic-Tester is a free browser-based device-testing utility. It offers camera previews, microphone levels, local recording, playback, downloads, and related controls. It is not a conferencing service, professional diagnostic certification, or cloud recording backup.
Availability and results depend on browser support, permissions, operating-system settings, connected hardware, and other software. A successful check does not guarantee that another app will use the same devices or settings.
Responsible use and recording consent
- Access only devices you are authorized to use.
- Record people or material only when you have the permissions and consent required by applicable law.
- Do not use the website to violate privacy, infringe others' rights, or conduct unlawful activity.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass access controls, or interfere with other users.
You are responsible for your recordings, downloads, and subsequent sharing. Using the tool does not transfer ownership of your media to us. Any rights or obligations relating to recorded material remain with the relevant people and rights holders.
Save important recordings yourself
The tester keeps recordings in browser memory. Closing or reloading a page, device disconnection, a browser crash, or memory exhaustion can lose a recording. Download files you need to keep and verify the saved file before deleting the browser copy. We cannot restore media that was never uploaded to us.
The size warning is a practical reminder, not a guaranteed safe memory limit. There is no promise that an arbitrarily long recording will succeed.
Availability and limitations
The website is provided as available. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free results, compatibility with every device, or suitability for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for lost local recordings or indirect or consequential losses resulting from use of the tool. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.
Privacy, third parties, and changes
Read the privacy policy for information about local media processing, hosting requests, and contact messages. Other browsers, operating systems, meeting apps, hardware makers, and linked services are independent of this tool; mentioning them does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
We may change the website or update these terms. Review the date and current terms when using the service. No governing jurisdiction or dispute forum is specified here; applicable law and mandatory rights still apply.
